I received a copy of this book from Audiobook Obsession to review.

Ariel: From the time I was a little girl, I knew I was going to follow in my father’s footsteps. The art form of tattooing always intrigued me, and it became my life’s goal to put my work on other people’s bodies. My blank slates as I called them, ready and waiting for me to help the individual express themselves. I’m fully tatted and pierced and I love myself the way I am and will not change that for anyone. I had tried my hand at love once before, but it didn’t turn out very well, so I have up and concentrated on making my shop successful. Then one night I cam in contact with my high school crush, Dillon Connelly. And he changed everything.

Dillon: Growing up, I knew I needed to escape my parents’ house and make something of myself. My sixth-grade science teacher, Mrs. Masters, changed the course of my life and encouraged me to reach for something better. I worked hard and became a doctor graduating at the top of my class. No one is holding me back from my goals in life. I’ve always been searching for something, never quiet figuring out what that was until a familiar patient’s daughter became my soul purpose for living. Could she be the one.

Ariel and Dillon cross paths after a devastating event involving Ariel’s mother. This chance encounter changes the path of their lives. But something is lurking in the background that could test their new-found love. Can they put an end to this new threat before it separates them from each other for good? Or will this threat ruin their one chance at happiness together?

This is the story or Ariel who at seven years old would sit and watch her father tattoo people and she new this was what she wanted to do with her life. Fast forward in life and Ariel along with her sisters Rainey and Emery run a tattoo shop. However she soon finds herself waiting on a doctor to tell them what is going on with their mother who is fighting for her life. It only takes her a second to recognize Dillon has her crush from her younger years. He is her mothers’ doctor. He too had had a crush on Ariel and never thought he was good enough. Now though that he is a doctor he feels like he is finally good enough for Ariel. What she isn’t expecting is to start getting a lot of strange texts from a unknown number and it doesn’t take long to realize that she has a stalker on her hands. This causes her to turn to one of her father’s friends who is the President of a MC. So we have a stalker, a tattoo artist, a doctor who is all alpha male and a MC in this book. What more could you ask for. I really enjoyed listening to this one. There are enough twist and turns to keep you listening and loving it. Sarah Puckett and Connor Brown did an amazing job narrating this book and holding my attention.
