Such a bittersweet tear-jerker that wormed its way into my heart… And my favorites pile.
I have never read a story like this before. Literally. Never read anything like this. Therefore, it made itself known. It spoke for itself. The story spoke to me rather than the mundane act of I reading the words or listening to an audiobook. It was something that made me wonder and relate. Albeit I did cry, however, that is not the point. This isn’t just a story. This has the potential to be anyone’s anecdote, sadly, which gives this a raw and true grit feel. There was the good, the bad, and everything in between that gave a more of a vividness to the way this was portrayed.
