the only reason why the main characters are even alive is because the writer wants them to be. it makes no logical sense why they even get anything done. both girls are completely irrational. the Israel guy can’t communicate even though his ability could easily be the best. the only character that should be in charge is the retired marine! so much self Righteous BS. in an apocalypse! also 6 months pass before anyone figures out how to even get past level 0. and that event is a chance 1 out of a million even happening. even less odds that the event didn’t vaporize itself and the entire city. sooo hard to listen to the first book. debating even going on to the other books. also this is set in America, Americans does NOT use the metric system
