How do I even begin to put my feelings into words right now? This series, you guys. THIS SERIES. I have never been so depressed about finishing a book before in my life. I don’t want to say goodbye to Green Creek and the packpackpack. I’ve never read a series that made me laugh and cry as much as this one did. TJ Klune is an absolute genious and a true master of his craft. He has a writing style that’s entirely his own and he OWNS IT. I can’t leave a review without giving a shout out to the audible narrator, Kirt Graves. He is phenomenal and has claimed the spot as my favorite audiobook narrator.
Brothersong is Gavin and Carter’s story and I knew going into this one that it would be one of my favorites. What I didn’t know was how much Gavin would mean to me. I don’t want to give too much away about Gavin because I feel as if everyone should learn about him for themselves when they get to this book. Gavin is my absolute favorite character. I love him with my every fiber of my being. He is my spirit animal and everyone should strive to be a little bit like him. Brothersong is so much more than just Gavin and Carter’s love story though. In true Green Creek fashion you fall more in love with ALL of the pack. I didn’t think it was possible to love them any more than I did but here we are. The mention of Thomas and the infamous “oh” will forever make me cry…EVERY SINGLE TIME. Elizabeth is a force to be reckoned with and I adore her character so much. I could go on and on about how much I love every single character in this series. This conclusion was perfection. I wouldn’t change a single thing about it.
Bravo, Tj Klune. Bravo.
