Alright, when I started this series I had zero idea what to expect. I typically go for epic fantasy novels. Problem is, I was getting board with them, because they were all starting to feel the same. So when I cam across Dungeon Crawler Carl, I wasn’t sure to expect other than it wasn’t epic fantasy, it wasn’t quite lit rpg but kind-of, it wasn’t Sci-Fy but kind-of, and I knew there was a lot of comedy involved. So I figured I’d give it a whirl and see what’s goin on with the hype.

Simply put, this is definitely one of my favorite series. It’s wildly unpredictable.

There are:

– Fantastic quips

– Hilarious taunts

– Seriously awkward events -Both funny, and serious

– Outrageous mannerisms

– Personifications of insanity and absurd that disturbingly create a desire to have that character included in the storyline more frequently – if that even makes sense.

– Incredibly offensive dialog

– And more.. etc. etc. etc.

Some how though, the characters temperaments are still real enough that they are quite relatable – for some anyway.

The series is certainly not for all people, but I think its amazing! I highly recommend this series to people who laugh at things they shouldn’t laugh at, and hate predictable storylines. This book tickles my “Ryan Reynolds” sense of humor perfectly…
