It comes off as a carbon copy of Dresden files in terms of characters. The world building and detective work felt really weak. Flaws I can forgive but when it feels strongly like the book does not have it’s own universe, that’s hard to get over.
Still not bad in terms of writing skill, and I did kinda want to hear more when I finished this one, but not enough to make me buy the next one.
