the concept is great. the execution is a failure. MC is an emotionally under developed half elf. he struggles with grief, gets angry over petty slights, and is addicted to magical tea. it is more accurate to say the story is about the tower more than the characters who inhabit the tower. even then, it gets built in less than five minutes, and the last six hours are about fine tuning, decorating, and deciding which fish to put in the moat.
this is a good story to have on in the background if you need noise, or something to fall asleep to.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this story if you want adventure, character growth, battles, exotic locations, or even stats( MC brags that he hasn’t checked his character sheet or quests in decades).
