All in all, a good read. It’s a unique approach to blending sci-fi with classic fantasy, but the characters and world building just weren’t there. It was hard to engage with anyone character, and the most interesting personalities had very little point of view time. The twinborn concept really could have been further developed, especially considering Harwick’s revelations in book 3.
