Interesting concept. It is clear from how it is written that the background of the main character is really just to introduce the setting and isn’t very important apart from that. Characters seem quite exaggerated and one-dimensional. But the story is creative for sure. A little too gory in some parts for my taste. The game mechanics also seem a little overly complicated in some aspects. The book is not bad but I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend this to anyone. As for the narrator, they try to be innovative which is interesting. The echo from Vic gets old quite fast though. I’ll keep going with an open mind.
