I had a hard time becoming invested in either the antagonist nor the protagonist. Their on-again, off-again antipathy toward each other came across as unnatural, considering the circumstances. Also, the actual premise of the book’s title didn’t even come into play until very near the end. Finally, too many loose ends and the cliff-hanger ending was a let-down.
