I like the storyline and really like the characters; however, the effusive use of the F-Bomb was a turn off for me, sometimes forcing me to fast forward thru CONVERSATIONS because it just wasn’t value added. i don’t associate with people who speak like that, professionally or personally…. and i just don’t think it was necessary to the storyline. the storyline could have held itself with it. so while people who speak like that typically won’t mind or even notice, those of us who don’t won’t appreciate the story or writing nearly as much. i already downloaded the next book because i like reading in series, but honestly hesitant to start it. That’s why i marked the story 2 stars, otherwise at least a 4. Performance is driven by the script, so not really much freedom there to sanitize the word choice. but narrator handles the voices well.
