The opening scene was bewildering. Initially I found it graphic and uncomfortable, but that’s the reality of uncontrollable climate change. The middle part of the book with the primary male character meanders for a while, no real conclusion for him. Maybe that’s realistic too, that nobody gets anything fantastical in life, it just continues on it’s way. I think the ending was also inconclusive.
My favorite parts were the discussions on fiscal policy, monetary policy, geoengineering, and overall side stories.
I think it’s a good listen overall, but don’t expect too much from the characters.
