Overall it’s a great story. I’ve followed Nathan’s work for years and have come to love his style of narration. This narrator, however, doesn’t come close to capturing the emotion of the story and truly sounds like he should be narrating movie trailers with his overly dramatic and growling voice. If the story wasn’t written by Nathan Lowell, I would have returned the book after the first chapter. When Nathan narrates you find yourself drawn in and absorbed in the story. With Kafer as the narrator I find his over dramatization takes me away from the experience more often than drawing me in.
