The story is improving with each new novel in the series, though the plot is remains confusing. The LitRPG premise is becoming less bothersome as the author starts explaining it away (though the entire genre remains fan-servicey).
At the end of the day, I’m still reading the stories and still enjoying everything. The amount of emotional support I’m giving to the protagonist is surprisingly heavy. I really find myself caring about this guy. Read the series and you probably will, too.
