I’ve purchased all 3 books in this series and was really rocking and rolling along with the story. We were progressing, building up clans, getting ready to go on the next mission to get ready to eventually become a real power in the world and then ‘poof’ it all went away with the epilogue of the third book. I really enjoy this author so I’m reluctant to criticize but saying the epilogue sucked doesn’t seem strong enough. It literally ruined the book for me.

All the travelers who are enemies are nerfed and not by the hero. All the progress is instantly taken away. All the amazing immersion into the world is pulled away. It really sucked.

I can’t tell by the ending if the author plans on continuing the series but he’ll be hard pressed to make a smooth transition back into the world.

I want to stress, I completely enjoyed all the books until the end. I don’t think many people read these reviews and someone may post how much they love the epilogue, but not me. Yuck.
