This audiobook is very well read. The narrator does a great job at reading all of the parts, and in voices that are suiting and distinct.
Stories, however, are not very good. A female main character who is a wizard that can control reality is a great concept, but it’s not executed well. Writer forces us to witness the main character being an absolute goody two-shoes in the face of complete evil. Her reactions are far too nice. For example, in the third story, 45 minutes are spent on her grabbing her hair and crying because she threatened to torture two criminals, and they called her bluff. She begged them until one of them had to bio and told her. And this story is about her being infatuated with a prostitute, though the writer had never introduced a sex scene before–making the gratuitous and frequent sex scenes in this story awkward.
Could be much better.
