This book has potential, and I had high hopes for it. Normally I like Jeff Hayes as a narrator, but the way he switched on and off with Laurie leaves you completely unable to ever slip into the fantasy world. She is the narrator and describes what all of the characters are doing and then it will switch to Jeff’s voice for most of their thoughts and dialogue, but the non-stop switching back and forth from the male and female voices especially when she is narrating everything in between all of the guys dialogues is distracting and makes it difficult to immerse. It’s sad, because I actually think they’re both great narrators, but the way they did it killed it for me.
