I was really getting into this omnibus audiobook when it started out. It was very interesting and the writing was well paced…then suddenly, it wasn’t. The story seemed to DRAG for the last 40-45% of the audiobook. I already have the other two omnibus audiobooks so I hope the pacing and flow is “tuned up” or I may DNF them…

This is a perfect example of “write what you know”…not the “zombie” part, but the military side of it as the author was in the military at the time of writing these books (not sure if he still is now). Without his firsthand knowledge of military equipment, etc, this book would have FLOPPED (IMO).

Narration was done well. The narrator didn’t standout as either good or bad…he blended in and let the story speak.
