So I didn’t realize that this book was part of a series and just bought it on a whim. Once I realized it was the most current book in the series, it made so much more sense lol. However it was a fun fast passed ride even without knowing the story up until now. I was able to follow it but I’m sure I didn’t get all the hidden jokes or under tones. I wasn’t as emotionally invested in a particular party for her to end up with either but I found that I kind of liked that since I’m not one for drama or love triangles. The action was great and I felt bad for the heroine, wishing she could just get a day of rest. It’s a long book but it keeps you entertained and wanting to know how it ends. There is a cliff hanger at the end and I’ll probably be getting the next book when it comes out to see where the story goes.
