off-spring. J.N. Chaney and Terry Maggert team-up to again create an interesting continuation in the series. While the Forge is coming more online with the additional cores, the team now discovers that they need to acquire, in addition to Unseen cores, the Golden’s dark matter for sophisticated weapons and offensive crafts and in order to acquire it they must venture out to the distant part of the galaxy where one of the last epic battles occurred between the two master races. Of course there are new encounters with other entities along with death defying encounters with more Golden baddies. The book moves the story forward while also broadening the listeners understanding of the Golden’s genesis history.
Jeffrey Kafer continues to provide a good performance but his style often comes off as declarative statements from every character which made me want to slap them for being so over-bearing. Still, I enjoyed this book and plan to continue the series.
