There are so many litrpg out there right now that I have trouble starting a new series for fear of mediocrity and overuse of stats. But this was a breath of fresh air. Something new and fun, that feels more unique than dime a dozen litrpg and also not as predictable as generic isekai stories of “reincarnated as a _____”. It felt like something new, and RinoZ seems to have it pretty well thought out for the long haul. The story really picks up and finds a good balance of civilization building and independent adventure that I feel a lot of litrpg struggle to find. Also I continue to be baffled by the range of voices Jeff Hays can pull off.
