I have literally read/listened to this series completely out of order and they can stand alone though they do mention other characters they’re not wrapped up in an overall story. This one is not a favorite, it’s a fairly quick listen I just personally didn’t care to much about the storyline or the characters. I actually liked the glimpses of them better in other books. Austin Jay I have found is a bit all over the place with his narration in this one I think they did a pretty good job of it.
