Primarily, this is review is a heads-up to readers that there are frustrated folk below that seem to be insulted over having to buy a product, and choosing to vent that frustration by posting spoilers about the book. A lot of, “I don’t think they’re real spoilers because I’m not satisfied with the story” stuff.

That said, this book was true to the Travis Bagwell style of writing, and was filled with clever consideration and use of game mechanics, hard-fought personal growth, and juuuust the right amount of plot armor; barely enough to help move the story along, but nowhere near enough to make it easy for anyone.

I’m excited for the next one, to be sure.
