I’m always hesitant to listen to a LitRPG book that has too much focus on the non-game world. Every time the player is out of the game it always just feels like it takes away from the story. Not with this book though. This book nails that aspect and shows just how it should be done. You have the action and progress in the game and then in the real world you have even more action and progress. It’s a win win scenario. I really enjoyed what he did with the characters in game. They were strong but they weren’t overpowered. That is a fine line to walk but the author does an amazing job with it. Having different narrators that told the story from different sides took a second to get used to but afterwards I really found myself enjoying it. It was an amazing book and I’m already downloading the next one. I would highly recommend everyone give this book a shot.
