At a meeting with Keira Garrison’s husband (husband not her choice) at the Garrison house, Gerard Sovereign witnesses how badly she is treated by the husband. He decided then and there that she would be his and it is interesting how he goes about making this happen. It is not just about her; it is about the entire Garrison family. Gerard waits many months before inviting her to dinner and their story starts from there with plenty of heat. Gerard is 38 and Keira is 21 but she appears to be a bit older. She does cry a little too much though.

Gerard isn’t necessarily a good man, but he is with Keira. There are good reasons why he is the way he is, based on things that happened because of Keira’s husband’s family.

Stefanie Kay and Oliver Clarke did a really good job with the narration, especially Oliver. This was a really good book, and I am looking forward to the next one in the series, Westin, which also includes another Garrison wife.
