The book is amazing and Travis Baldree may be one of my most favorite narrators. Only one beef, Tessia needs balance. At some point people evolve, learn, or die. She seems to do none of the above and it’s pretty annoying. Her emotionally driven bad ideas are constant. It almost feels like the writer needs her to be constantly irrational and overly emotional so that they can push the plot line. There were a few times in the book where both Tessia’s actions and the plot drop afterwards almost made me want to stop listening and move to a other book. On a positive note, King Grey’s backstory is fantastic and I absolutely love that part of the book. Even the emotions of the friends really invests you into the book.
