Let me preface this with I want a book where I’m constantly gasping. Either at the plot or the spice. But it can’t have one but not the other for me. That said…
I literally raved about the first book and how captivated I was from the get! Finished all 8 hours in a day and immediately preordered the sequel and the sheer disappointment! This book felt sooo rushed. Like the author gave up on the creative ending and compensated with extra spice.
Like the culprit of who was behind the drugs? There was like no hype no build up, plot twists and that whole scene was very anticlimactic! But every other chapter he was ‘servicing’ her – and don’t get me wrong, I like my books where the spice be spicin’! But that’s all I felt this was.
She never even found out about the shot?!
I’m prob being overly harsh but I had such greater expectations for this book. 😞
