Something was Missing!

I liked this one but something was missing for me. I didn’t ever make a connection with the two main characters (Mercy and Rafe). And the “love connection” between Mercy and Rafe was not strong to me; just kind of bland. Yes, I understand that Rafe had to be incredibly patient given the horrors Mercy endured in her past, especially at such a young age. Its so hard to put my finger on exactly what didn’t work that well for me in this installment.

Anyway, it is what it is.
