Ok, I’m good with whole story line. The aspect of a real implementation of a gaming world worked for me too. But (Spoiler Alert!) why does the hero insist on fighting beasts with primitive jury-rigged weapons when he has a hyper-dimensional storage space with him that is stuffed with the most powerful and effective weapons known? I think that the emphasis is on detailed brawling rather than the further development of an interesting story. Don’t misunderstand me, I’m going to listen to the rest of the books, but I wish that I wasn’t driven to say things to myself like “Come on, come on, use the razor-edged military combat knife you slid in your boot in the last chapter to sever the tentacle, and stop trying to stab it with the sharpened piece of rebar you picked up in the first chapter! Geeez!” Outstanding performance, by the way…
