To start the story continues right where it left off and progresses very well. The filler in this book is not my cup of tea cringe moments between characters but outside of the couple of instances, good development overall. The narration continues to be top tiered and if you played final fantasy games in the past and enjoyed the soundtracks this will give you some nostalgia. For me the soundtrack created a vivid visualization of the book characters as pixel characters in early games of final fantasy taking turns and using abilities so I thoroughly enjoyed that aspect although some may not like it. All in all getting the next books in the series
