The saga of the Russell family is very intriguing and unique. It’s unlike many of the post-EMP survival stories, in it’s revolving around a highly trained teenage girl, who is more ready for the apocalypse than anyone ever would be at her age. That makes it both interesting and at certain times, hard to relate to. CA Rudolph does write in a way that makes her feelings of anger and isolation so believable, especially from the vantage point of a teenage girl. And as the family navigates through this book, old characters from the past reemerge, and surprises come at every turn. Can’t wait for book 5.

Kevin Pierce is his always perfect, spot on self. No PA book is the same without his narration.
