I’m partial to this genre, but feel that Horton tells the story like it really is. As a fiction, I understand that the pace has to be increased in order to move the story along, we know life doesn’t happen this fast. I appreciate that the character was on a work trip, had a GHB and that’s it. All the rest is pretty realistic. Obviously, main characters never miss a shot, win fights with opponents, etc….of course they do, that’s what we all think we will do. Pierce is one of my favorite narrators. Will buy the next in the series without a doubt.
