This series is better than most LitRPGs I’ve found so far, but I still wouldn’t say it’s great.

Some things I liked about this book and the series as a whole are the unique characters, low sexual content (I want an RPG fantasy book, not a sexual fantasy book!) and decent game world.

What I didn’t like:

The characters, while unique, were not especially memorable or noteworthy.

The MC, who is meant to be very intelligent and have one of the most powerful minds of any human, is constantly getting by with dumb luck. Rather than making good decisions, the MC mostly survives by getting just the thing he needs just when he needs it, or by exploiting loopholes that are basically there just to help him.

The jokes aren’t funny, even the ones that are meant to make you laugh at how terrible they are.

Overall I’d say it’s decent for a LitRPG, but without that qualifier it’s just below what I would say was worth listening to.
