I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Overall you won’t go wrong this, it’s a fun book, with some laughs, some pain, and lots of action.
A bit more in-depth, this is a solid book, once it gets going it is straight action with little room for breathers. It suffers a bit from a constant retreading of the same confrontation, the main character gets beat too many times by the villain and survives each of them.
There’s a bit of repetition in the character’s monologue/thoughts, we get it the villain is really looking forward to the fight.
Other than that the characters were great, I think I would have liked to hear more about the main character’s brother, than the actual main character, he seemed like a more interesting character. The plot is a bit used, generally, revenge growing to save the world deal, but it’s held together well and the method is a fun one.
Narration and audio are solid, no issues there.
Pick this one up if you want something that is pretty much constant action.
