The good news, there’s enough of the story there that I’ll get the next one. That being said, the bad: the relationship between Jason and Riley, the whole back and forth, is so cliche, so over used, it defies logic that anyone would play it out again, like they used to do ad nauseum, it’s a well worn over used trope that takes up half the book. 2nd, the whole regulatory hearing/quasi court hearing would never happen that way, in any world or universe that uses logic. The way the people act, interact with each other, don’t do certain things, do others– there are just so many logical gaps in there that it is almost painful. It wouldn’t happen that way even in the world the author created. There are other issues throughout the book–but like I said enough of the story to get the next book.
