And the one review that panned “Living” is the one I resonate with the most. It is an ok listen/read but it didn’t pull me in. The premise is interesting and the kismet kept me listening but overall it wasn’t enough. In fact, with three hours to go I think I’m done. Those who loved it REALLY loved it; take those reviews into consideration. For me, the characters didn’t feel like 20 somethings in this day and age…maybe back in the late 80s (but not from the Valley!) Even the dialog felt dated. Had they been in their 40s it might have felt more congruent. I liked the premise, I loved the therapist and some of the references to spirituality and love but in the end it didn’t pull together for me. And the narration was more of a distraction than something that made the story flow better.
