this book is a much more… serious addition to the story. we got none of the trademark donut recklessness that causes carl say dammit donut. we got less relateable humor. i still like the book, but it’s much… heavier. it may have been just me, but the humor that was there didn’t lighten enough to keep the story fun as the previous additions.
not a single dammit donut ridiculousness scene saddens me.
