This story could be true. Infact. each plot point did happen in our America over the past year. Only to different folks; in different cities and towns. I was subject to mob rage and attacked in my suv, like the character in the book, this summer in Philadelphia. Like her, I was minding my business, and got my vehicle surrounded, jumped on, windows smashed, with bricks, ball bats, and rocks. In the end, I was ok, I forced my way out and my vehicle wasn’t breached. But the city cops harassed me about my hand gun (even though I have had a carry permit for 30 years; and didn’t brandish it, or fire a shot). Their first questions from them were if I was carrying that day; which I found both annoying and alarming. After that I had me attorney present for all calls and my statement. Not one of the mob has been questioned or arrested yet, to my knowledge. Despite front and rear view video and cellphone footage of the event…. It sucks that prepper fiction is becoming current events. Let’s hope for peace, keep our powder dry, and “Embrace the suck!” Great book, great performance, unfortunately, almost not fiction.
