The connection the author establishes with the main characters is really captivating. While it might seem like a slow story on a build-up, I never felt bored. In fact, I wanted to keep listening on. I love how emotionally connected I felt with even the dog. Feels like a normal story from something that could be a recount of a non-fictional event.
