This instantly grabbed my attention, and while it’s not super exciting or actiony, it is mysterious and set in a small ‘everyone knows everyone’, gossipy, incestuous town. Before long, I wanted to move to this town … despite a few bullies.
Combine that to a very likable female lead, and her first-person POV and I was hooked. This was a really short listen, that felt like it flew by, due to my own immersement. It’s rare I get that hooked on anything lately and I absolutely hope to read more from this author. I’m officially a fan.

Excellent! The overall quality is professional, perfect.
This narrator though is SPECTACULAR. She really inserts the perfect amount of attitude into the female lead and brings her to life. I don’t love her voice, but it doesn’t matter because she just does such an amazing job. 5 stars on this end.
