I really tried – I have listened to hundreds of LitRPG novels (no joke, literally too many to count) and this book ranks among the lowest. It had some good spots (I loved the trial/ simulation part), but the story itself is disjointed and just plain boring. I really wish I could have gotten my money back – I bought it during one of the sales and now I know why it was on sale! The performance was amazing (there was one scene straight out of Independence Day and Justin def channeled Will Smith) and this was the only reason I made it through 13 hours.
