This was my favorite of the series! Take one grumpy fire dragon and throw a snarky, feisty mage from the enemies’ camp at him, and watch sparks fly! Gunter and Nicki are such a great opposites attract. An orphan being raised by mages who use him as their own personal battery pack for their own broken magic, Nicki had dreamed of being rescued by his own dragon one day. That day is today. The end of the struggle and strife between the good and bad guys finally comes to a satisfying conclusion, and the dragons are able to finally focus on growing their clans again.
