This is the first series that I have tried by this author and I was excited based on all of the five-star reviews. I have gotten all the way to this 3rd book thinking it would get better but I am honestly stumped as to how people are raving about this?? Besides the story itself being almost non-existent, and the characters being uninteresting, these are supposed to be “alien” warriors – yet there is really nothing “alien” about them (basically tall humans with eyes that turn kinda gold with emotion). This third book in particular has soooo many “flashbacks” in a story that is already a re-telling from a different point-of-view. Super disappointed and I won’t be reading any other books by this author.
