It’s continuing the themes of the previous books, but pushing Lee’s thinking about comparative morality more. I’m seeing a lot of harem aspects in the books I’m listening to, but this one is straight up telling the reader it’s going to happen. I normally have a great love of paladin’s, but I wish someone would put Miller in his place at this point. I’m not sure why so many books feel like subverting the paladin archetype because it’s gotten to the point that the subversion is more common than what a paladin represents. Anyway, Jeff and Annie are always on point and I hear the production quality improve with each new book.
