Having listened to a couple of the previous books in this series but not the entire series I did feel like I was missing something in this one. Maura is new to town and is drawn to the old bakery (this is where I felt lost, I missed the book where the bakery closed). Of course if its your first book you will never miss that. She quickly makes new friends that are so welcoming. And the property manager, aka her new love interest, seems to be a really good man. I love that Maura is willing to do whatever it takes to clear his name. And the lead investigator seem like a real jerk. I’m sure their is more to that story. I love that I did not see the murderer a mile away! Really nice job on the narration. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
