Highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys gamelit elements but wants a break from stats and stuff. OP main character is a nice change of pace and I really enjoyed the magic mechanics in the book. The author doesn’t always paint the most vivid picture and it’s not a long in depth read, yet it’s fun and engaging all the same. Give it a shot and make sure you make it through the first quarter of the book where it really starts to take off.
