I love True Crime Garage and I appreciate that Nic wrote this book in his spare time while delivering that amazing content to us weekly. That being said, with the recent developments in this case, I think it would have been better to wait until after the trial. The book reads like most of it was written prior to the recent arrest in the case. During that time, there wasn’t a lot of information out…we’re still waiting on a lot. Nic did a great job not writing about rumors, but he added a lot of content about unrelated cases. It feels a bit like fluff. I hate to say scrap what was written before Allen’s arrest, but I would have preferred a more focused approach after the trial. Rather than hearing/reading about similar monsters or victims, I want the focus to be Abby and Liberty’s lives, Richard Allen’s life, and the nitty-gritty details that will inevitably come out after the trial. That being said, this is decent content for those of us who can’t get enough of these guys. It’ll fill your ear holes with what you like to hear, and even though Nic isn’t reading it, you can hear him through the words. The book seems very true to him and it’s clear he out a lot of effort into this, didn’t hire a ghostwriter to get the job done for him.
