Overall concept of the book is great, solid content, but fails to really deliver the story. At times the story gets forgotten with personal non relevant side notes which also seem to be out of sequence. It’s a shame the book was written in such a manner with such a powerful story. It could have rivaled Boys in the Boat, but lacked the character development and fluidity. Author failed to correlate personal intermingled story with main story line. Very frustrating book since the potential for greatness is there but it just falls short.
