I listened to and enjoyed the first book in the series, but book 2 “Descent into Darkness” should have been re-titled “Rise of Ridiculous Romance”. The characters spent more time assuring each other how much they loved and would take care of each other no matter the circumstance. This felt like a substantial portion of the book. Some of it didn’t make plausible sense.
The only saving grace was the narrator, Kevin Pierce.
