Short story. Not what I was expecting.

This is the first book I’ve read/listened to by Pepper North. It was not what I was expecting. It’s a short story with a bit of…a paranormal feel? I think that is how to explain it. I went to look and found it was book three in a series, so maybe I missed some details by not listening to the previous two books? It was an interesting take on a dom/sub relationship. I didn’t feel any chemistry between Raphel and Mia though. I think I might like to go back and read the first two books to see if it makes a difference in how I’m interpreting it.

Chloe Ryan and Gregory Salinas are excellent narrators! They made this an enjoyable listen even as I was trying to figure out how I liked the book. Their performances were flawless.
